Millie's Chili

Thick enough to sit on your favorite chip, hearty enough to power your day. Named after the Mama who inspired MamaSezz, this dish is hearty enough to keep every belly full. It also tastes great on a baked potato, on nachos, with Mama’s Mac Sauce, or mixed with MamaSezz Lazy Lasagna.

Ingredients: tomatoes, water, red kidney beans, chickpeas, corn, black beans, sweet potato, sweet onions, carrots, green peppers, red peppers, chili powder, garlic, MamaSezz Date Syrup (water, dates), chipotle powder, spices

Good base vegetarian chili but lacked much flavor punch. I admit my taste buds prefer a deeper sense of overall flavor including salt but I do try to cut down on salt for health goals. So I added 1 whole large homegrown minced jalapeño, 1/4c Franks hot sauce, 1-1/2 tsp. cumin, 1 tsp Southwest no salt added seasoning blend and stirred into bag and put in refrigerator to allowed flavors to blend until called for in my Week 1 of the Weight Loss bundle, my 1st ever Mamasezz products and will definitely be a staple go to this winter.

Millie’s chili is very tasty and has lots of great ingredients. I added a Dash of Braggs Aminos and it was perfect. It would be good on a potato, but was wonderful with a salad and the cornbread.

Make it Hearty: Heat and mix with quinoa.

Stuff it: Heat and enjoy over a baked potato or mashed potatoes.

Over grains: Heat and enjoy over brown rice or quinoa.

Tacos: Enjoy in corn tortillas or lettuce boats topped with avocado slices.

Taco salad: Make a large salad and top with cold MamaSezz Millie’s Chili.

Stuffed Peppers: Mix with brown rice or quinoa and stuff into a bell pepper. Bake until soft. Optional: top with avocado and/or cilantro.
