Lisa is the co-founder of MamaSezz and was former longtime CEO and President of Vermont Bread Company, one of the first all-natural and organic bread wholesale bakeries. With over 30 years of organic food production and distribution experience, Lisa strives to bring high quality, organic products to MamaSezz customers and the community. She has an MBA from UVA's Darden School of Business and is the author of Dealing With the Tough Stuff: Practical Wisdom for Running a Values-Driven Business.
Meg is the co-founder of MamaSezz and is passionate about working with medical professionals, scientists, and nutritionists to bring the healing power of food to everyone. She has a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Nutrition Studies Center at Cornell and a Masters in Technology Management from Marlboro Graduate School.
For us, it's about so much more than quick and easy meals (though those are pretty darn cool, too). We're all about fueling the next adventure, whether it's summiting a peak or getting the kids to school on time. We've found eating more fruits and veggies powers us to do the things we love most.
And science agrees! Not only does a whole foods plant-based diet give us the energy we need to live and love life, it also reduces the risk for some serious chronic illnesses, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension.
Keeping our bodies healthy helps the planet stay healthy, too. It's estimated if more folks tried a mostly plant-based diet, food-related greenhouse gas emissions could be reduced by 55 percent.
