How You're Speeding Up The Aging Process

How You're Speeding Up The Aging Process

So this is 40+?

I was talking with my friend Chuck the other day. He’s an amazing guy. In his 40s, smart (like you want him figuring out the re-entry math logistics on Apollo 13 smart), funny, and self-aware. He’s also worried about his health.

His health isn’t bad, but it’s not good either. He has a few issues that he manages with medication. He “tries to eat right.” And he feels bad that he doesn’t get enough exercise.

I said, “you know, Chuck, you get to be 40+ and all of a sudden you realize your health is heading in a different direction and you just don’t bounce back in the same way. You can see the future and you realize that if nothing changes…well, you’re just going to keep sliding down.”

“Stop!” He said (half joking). “I know, I know!”

And it’s not just Chuck. Everywhere I go I talk with people experiencing at least one of these 10 health concerns:

  1. Loss of flexibility or the beginnings of arthritis
  2. Weight gain (particularly the mid-section)
  3. High cholesterol and blood pressure
  4. Heart conditions
  5. Type 2 Diabetes
  6. Impotence
  7. Fatigue
  8. Stress over their family history of Alzheimer’s
  9. Cancer
  10. Depression

A Game of Whac-A-Mole

Everyone I speak with KNOWS they should eat better and exercise to feel better.  But for some reason it doesn’t happen consistently and they end up feeling like they are playing a game of “Whac-A-Mole” with their health. Remember that game? Little moles pop up on a board randomly and the object is to whack them back down as fast as you can.

But here’s the rub: each time you “whac” one thing down, a new mole pops right up.

Whac! I got my cholesterol down.
Up pops my blood pressure mole.
Whac! Whac! Phew, got my blood pressure down.
Up pops that pesky fatigue mole.
And so it goes.

There is a solution

Aging is inevitable...but feeling like crap doesn't have to be. So what's the solution? Here goes:

Eat real food (no chemicals or preservatives). Eat more plant-based foods. Lay off foods that make you sick or sicker.

Eating a primarily plant-based diet can give you a fantastic baseline of health. And look, I’m not talking about ditching prescriptions altogether. I’m not anti-medicine, as in many cases it is necessary! But I do know that changing your diet is the #1 thing you can do today to impact the future of your health…and stop the After-40 slide.

(Under 40? Yeah, you’re actually not off the hook, either. The truth is we just start to notice it after 40. The slide starts much younger, in your 20s actually…)

Want to quit playing Whac-A-Mole with your health?

And bust the myth that some health issues “just come with age?”

We can help. Eating plant-based consistently can be hard. That’s why we created bundles of food for you. We’ve got your back.
