Baked potatoes get a bum rap but did you know that the humble spud is a stealth superfood? Yep! Potatoes have close to zero fat and cholesterol, and are low in calories, to boot. Plus they're loaded with vitamins and minerals. One baked russet potato has nearly half of your recommended daily value of immunity-boosting vitamin C. Even more, potatoes are high in B vitamins, magnesium, antioxidants, and have more potassium than bananas!
And finally, potatoes are packed with fiber, which is important since 97% of Americans are fiber deficient. High fiber foods regulate blood sugar levels, help us maintain a healthy weight, and lower our cholesterol.
So here's to enjoying those potatoes, 100% guilt-free. And when you stuff them full of vegan MamaSezz Chili, then drizzle with our best-selling Mama's Mac Sauce, that's a pretty sweet deal.
