Oil-free and gluten-free "fried" avocado (AKA the perfect veggie burger topping)
Ever wondered if the perfect veggie burger topping exists? It does: fried avocado. Ok, fine, this gluten-free recipe isn't technically fried; it's battered and baked. But it sure tastes fried, minus the high calorie and high fat oil.
Bonus: it's not just the BEST veggie burger topping, it's absolutely delicious on salads, in your favorite vegan wrap, as a sushi filling...even just on its own as a healthy snack. Versatile and good for you? My favorite combo.
1/2 cup of Chickpea or Garbanzo flour 1 ripe avocado a dash of garlic powder a dash of sea salt a dash of black pepper water
1. Preheat oven to 430 degrees
2. Mix chickpea flour, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper together and add water until it reaches the consistency of pancake batter
3. Slice the avocado into strips and dip into the batter
