Oil-Free Vegan Fried Rice Recipe

It’s the simple things in this delicious oil-free vegan fried rice. Ready in 25 minutes, this plant-based dish is a family favorite and so dang easy to make.

Pro tips

  • This is a perfect whole food plant-based recipe for batch cooking! Make a big batch at the start of the week and store in the fridge or in the freezer for easy healthy lunches all week long. Get our tips for batch cooking and storing leftovers here.
  • Bulk this vegan fried rice up with different plant-based protein sources, like baked tofu, edamame, or chickpeas.
  • Use this recipe as a way to use up the produce in your fridge! You don’t have to stick to the recipe exactly. Any veggies will do. Add broccoli, zucchini, peppers, scallions, pineapple chunks, whatever you’ve got!

1 onion, diced

A few Tablespoons of veggie broth

2 cloves of garlic, minced

2 cups of frozen peas and carrots

2 cups of cooked brown rice (preferably cooked the day before)

5 Tablespoons of tamari

Cooking Instructions

Saute over medium heat until soft (about 8 minutes)

Diced onion in veggie broth

Then add…

Garlic and stir

After 1 minute, toss in...

Cooked rice, veggies, and Tamari

Cook on high heat until rice is warmed through and soft then enjoy!
